Chili con Carne

2 TBSP olive oil
1 lg onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic. minced
1/2 lb mild sausage, crumbled
1 lb ground beef
1 tsp pepper
1 6 oz can tomato paste
1 TBSP cumin
2-3 TBSP chili powder
2 TBSP dijon mustard
1 TBSP basil
1 TBSP oregano
1 tsp dill
1 TBSP lemon juice
1 lg can tomatoes, cut up, with juice
1/4 cup red wine
1/4 cup parsley, chopped
2 cans kidney beans
1 can black olives, drained and split

Saute onion and garlic in olive oil. Set aside. Brown sausage and ground beef until cooked through. Stir in onion and garlic and remaining ingredients, except olives. Simmer 15-30 minutes. Add olives and heat through.

Serve with shredded cheddar cheese and/or sour cream.
