Dinner Rolls

6 1/2 - 7 1/2 cups flour
3 TBSP flour
1 TBSP salt
1 pkg yeast
2 1/2 cups water
2 TBSP shortening
1 egg
sesame seeds

Mix 3 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast in a large mixing bowl. In a small bowl or saucepan heat water and shortening to 125°. Add water mixture to flour mixture and mix together. Beat on medium for 3 minutes. Add enough remaining flour until dough is elastic and slightly tacky, and knead for 7-10 minutes. Put into a large greased bowl. Turn, cover and let rise in a warm place for abouyt 1 1/4 hours, or until doubled. Punch down. Make into 24 rolls and place on (2) greased cookie sheets. Let rise about 45 minutes. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 375° 20 -25 minutes or until golden.

For a breadmaker (on dough setting):
4 1/2 - 5 cups flour
1 1/2 TBSP sugar
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp bulk yeast
2 cups warm water
(Makes 15 - 20 rolls)
