Pumpkin Bread

2 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1/2 cup water
1 1lb can pumpkin
additional 2/3 cup water
3 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp cloves
raisins, wheat germ, nuts - optional

Preheat oven to 350°F. In large mixing bowl cream sugar and oil together. Mix eggs with 1/2 cup water and add to sugar mixture. Add pumpkin to sugar mixture. Add remaining 2/3 cup of water to pumpkin can and stir to loosen any remaining pumpkin. Pour into sugar mixture as well. Mix well. In a separate bowl combine remaining ingredients then stir into wet mixture. Pour into (2) well-greased 9x5 inch loaf pans. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Don't overcook. Let stand 10 minutes then remove from pans.
